Lesson Plan Idea 2 for Blogs in the Classroom.
Lesson Title:
Story Extension Blog
Standards:
Lesson
Instructions:
11. This can be used with any literary work. Ask
students to create a blog from the perspective of one of the story’s
characters. They may decorate their blog to represent that character.
After
reading the first chapter of your selected work, students will create a blog
post identifying the character that they have chosen and make predictions about
the character’s personality, relationships, and strengths and weaknesses.
3.
After Students are finished reading each chapter
they will post to their blog from their character’s perspective. Each post
should act as a creative way to perform a character analysis. Students should
consider the following questions: What happened in this chapter? What events
might be particularly interesting to your character and why? How do you predict
your character will react to these events in the next chapters? What is your
character’s overall attitude towards these events?
3. The last post on the blog should be an anaylsis of character progression. Students should cite both the text and their blog posts.
